The
following is one of our favorite no bake recipes that is easy enough for kids
to make.
~Crispy
Brown Rice Snacks~
1/2 c. sesame tahini
2 T. almond butter
1/2 c. rice syrup
1/2 t. vanilla
1/2 c. non-diary carob chips
2 c. or more crispy brown rice boxed breakfast cereal
Mix nut butters, syrup and pinch of salt in saucepan until blended and bubbly.
Add vanilla and stir. Add cereal and quickly stir it in and remove from heat.
Add carob chips, if desired. When cereal is covered with syrup mixture, press
firmly into a greased Pyrex dish. Cut into squares when cooled. This is a
great snack that kids can make themselves.
